Junior youth are entering a period of life that is often marked by turbulence and by the selection of crucial life choices that will profoundly influence the whole of their lives. The materials used enable this younger generation to address core social issues relating to their moral and spiritual empowerment. Through active and participatory courses, junior youth begin to build their own strong moral identities, laying the foundation for them to develop into responsible citizens of the future who are inspired by a higher purpose of serving humanity.
Our local Baha’i community draws upon the enthusiastic energy and training of our youth to facilitate these programmes for the development of junior youth between the ages of 11 and 15.
These courses have demonstrated a power to transform. Many parents express awe at the personal changes they see in their children. The courses include both learning and hands-on practice, as the young people plan and carry out their own community service projects.
All facilitators are certified under the Baha’i Child Protection Policy which includes a mandatory police check.
